Hi,
I’m sorry you have so much pain on the inside that you have to manifest it on the outside.

The reason you are scared is not because you are depressed, but because you are confused, frustrated and unhappy. So let’s look at things one at a time:
1) You are alive.
2) You are asking for help
3) You are willing to listen.
4) Am pretty sure you haven’t tried this. Give it a shot, it doesn’t cost you anything, and who knows? you might learn something about yourself.

Now you have to make a decision – do you want to live your life or do you just want to survive in depression? If you do want to live, then make the commitment to yourself that you will live. Without that commitment, you will stay in the mode you are in.

Then re-focus your attention. Remember a time when you did something you thought you couldn’t or when you helped someone and you felt awesome? Remember how you breathed? What you thought? How you felt? How you stood (posture)? Practice getting yourself in the mode; get yourself in that mode as often as you can. Stay in that mode – that is your confidence mode.

Then get a mirror, look yourself in the eyes – and ask yourself – what do I know about this person? Who is this person? What do I like about this person? What makes this person happy? What can I do to make this person in the mirror love me? Can I give him/her a gift? Do I need to spend some time with her/him? Does this person need hugs? Does this person enjoy helping others? What do I need to say to this person for him/her to feel loved? Really think about those questions and find an answer. Focus your thinking on finding answers to those questions. While you are finding answers, find someone you can help – some one you can be of service to. Be patient, be calm, be confident. This too shall pass! Best Wishes!

Is it at all possible to have this combination injection prior to leaving for your well earned two weeks in the sun? The two GPs I have seen will not administer this and only prescribe a course of 10mg Cetirizine Hydrochloride Allergy tablets which do not work in my case.

Dr Cooper: You're right - UK doctors don't consider prickly heat a condition that's severe enough to warrant steroid injections as there are many possible side-effects. And I agree with my colleagues. However a mild steroid cream like hydrocortisone is OK to treat symptoms if calamine doesn't help (and you can also try aloe vera gel).

Your best bet is to keep cool - but easier said than done, I know. Wear soft loose cotton clothes. Shower often - all the usual advice to prevent prickly heat. Antihistamine tablets seem to help some people but not others.

To be honest I'm not sure if there's a link with hay fever or other allergies. Both conditions are pretty common though the root cause of prickly heat is trapped perspiration so it's difficult to see a link.

6 - Limb weakness

karrie16: I have a real weakness in my arms sometimes, also stiff wrists and knuckles. I have had MRI scans on my brain and cervical spine, but there was nothing wrong ... yet I do suffer with a clicking neck (I've had several neck injuries over the years) and migraines seem to start with a stiff and aching neck.
