I’m sorry you have so much pain on the inside that you have to manifest it on the outside.
The reason you are scared is not because you are depressed, but because you are confused, frustrated and unhappy. So let’s look at things one at a time:
1) You are alive.
2) You are asking for help
3) You are willing to listen.
4) Am pretty sure you haven’t tried this. Give it a shot, it doesn’t cost you anything, and who knows? you might learn something about yourself.
Now you have to make a decision – do you want to live your life or do you just want to survive in depression? If you do want to live, then make the commitment to yourself that you will live. Without that commitment, you will stay in the mode you are in.
Then re-focus your attention. Remember a time when you did something you thought you couldn’t or when you helped someone and you felt awesome? Remember how you breathed? What you thought? How you felt? How you stood (posture)? Practice getting yourself in the mode; get yourself in that mode as often as you can. Stay in that mode – that is your confidence mode.
Then get a mirror, look yourself in the eyes – and ask yourself – what do I know about this person? Who is this person? What do I like about this person? What makes this person happy? What can I do to make this person in the mirror love me? Can I give him/her a gift? Do I need to spend some t...
